Legacy SDKs

Several of our most popular Android SDKs where consolidated into the new Knox SDK to extend their functionality and to provide you with granular access to device features, security options, customization settings, and more.

With Knox SDK, you can create tailored solutions by remapping hardware keys, designing kiosks, deploying policies by geographical location, and customizing the booting animation. Keep sensitive enterprise data secure by restricting access to settings, pre-configuring VPN and firewall settings, and whitelisting and blacklisting apps.

NOTE: Each Samsung SDK version maps to an API level. Learn more about Knox product version mapping before downloading your SDK.

Legacy SDKs

Prior to Knox 3.0, Knox SDK features were separated into different SDKs. While Samsung will continue to provide support for these SDKs until 2019, these SDKs will no longer receive new features. If you are still using a legacy SDK, for example, to support devices with platforms older than Knox 3.0, click a link below to find out more about the SDK.

Knox Standard SDK

Manage Samsung Android devices and set up network connectivity, configure email account, define security restrictions, deploy kiosk mode and more.

Knox Premium SDK

Secure enterprise devices using Knox containers, SSO, Smart Card authentication, firmware integrity checks, certificate management and more.

Knox Customization SDK

Fully customize a device kiosk with default apps, UI appearance, Android settings, and connectivity options.

Knox ISV SDK

Secure your app using this toolkit, check for corrupted devices, and protect sensitive data.

We highly recommend switching to our new Knox SDK and enjoy access to over 1500+ APIs, unleash your creativity and start building world-class solutions today.
