The product key could not be verified.

I get a KPE Development license key today.

But that key could not be verified.

If you click "ACTIVATE LICENSE" button after setting new KPE Development License key in KnoxSDKSample application, error message "Product key could not be checked" appears.

What's the problem?

The status of KPE Development license key is Active.

Hi Chuloh,

A license could fail to activate for a number reasons. There should have been a second message that contained either an error code or an error message, eg. "KLM Error: Network Error" or "KLM Error: Error 208". Could you please tell me what error message or error code you receive?

Best regards,

Mikayla

Hi Mikayla N.

I know error 501 is a network disconnected error. But My device's network connection has never problems.

My device seems to have trouble activating KPE License. (Like the knox warranty is cracked?)
My device has same problem at activating ELM, too.

How can I repair knox warranty?

Another devices works fine.

Thank you.

Hi Mikayla N.

I receive the error code number 501 after showing "The product key could not be verified." toast message when I click the "ACTIVATE LICENSE" button.

Thank you.

Hi Chuloh,

Error 501 is a network disconnected error. Can you confirm that you either have a wifi or cellular network connection throughout the entire license activation process?

Hi Chuloh,

Are you talking about the warranty bit on your device? If the warranty bit has been tripped, there is no way to reset it. You will be unable to activate a Knox license or use any Knox APIs on that device. To check the warranty bit, follow this guide to take a dumpstate on your device. You don't need to worry about the recreating the issue part for this problem, because we know the issue is a license activation error. Then, once you have the dumpstate, open it and use the find tool in your text editor to look for "warranty_bit" If the bit is 0, that mean your device has not been compromised. If it equals 1, your device has been compromised and can no longer use Knox features.

Best regards,

Mikayla
