Note 7 Battery Management Utils

I've noticed in the Samsung Battery management tools built into the Note 7 software that my Android application (Target shopping app) shows high battery usage. I believe this is incorrectly reporting and would like to better understand how this is being calculated. Our application does very little background processing.

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately the battery manager tool in the Settings app is part of Android and is not a Samsung implementation.

We currently have no way to monitor battery consumption on an app to app basis.

I will, however, raise this to R&D as a feature request for you.

Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this topic.

Further to this, I'm trying to determine if there is a way to reset the statistics for application background battery consumption to see if a fix was effective. Can you please suggest how to reset this? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-eHYVYyBpyjcGtVVk5TY04wUzQ/view?usp=sh...

Fully charging and restartin the phone did not clear this.

I have tried uninstall/reinstall, and also the and command (adb shell dumpsys batterystats --reset). Neither appear to reset this Battry Usage per hour stat displayed in the Samsung Battery util.

I have been using battery-historian, but I’m not seeing anything glaring yet. It would be helpful to know what the Samsung app is keying off of for this metric. Is there something in the android bugreport output that would be a direct linkage to this?
